German Nepal Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (G-NESOG) and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Dhulikhel Hospital organized its First International Congress

German Nepal Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (G-NESOG) and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Dhulikhel Hospital organized its 1st International Congress in Dhulikhel Hospital from 10th to 12th October 2017. The Congress was inaugurated by Rt Honorable President of Nepal Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari. Guests in the opening ceremony included Prof. Dr Suresh Raj Sharma, Founding Vice Chancellor, Kathmandu University; Prof Dr Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Vice Chancellor, Kathmandu University; Prof. Dr Rajendra Koju, Dean, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences; Dr Bhola Thapa, Registrar, Kathmandu University; Dr Bernhard Uhl, President, G-NESOG and Dr Abha Shrestha, Vice President, G-NESOG as well as the Mayor of Dhulikhel, Mr Ashok Byanju and other government officials.

 

G-NESOG is a partner organization of Dhulikhel Hospital. It comprises a group of German Doctors and Group of Nepali Doctors. Dr. Bernhard Uhl is representing German Doctors while Dr. Abha Shrestha is representing Nepali Doctors. G-Nesog has been associated with Dhulikhel Hospital since October 2016.

 

The aim of this congress and the GNESOG is to improve the obstetrical and gynecological cooperation of both countries. The exchange of knowledge in the form of lectures, workshops, symposia and fellowships is intended to provide the women who are entrusted with our care. Delegates from seven countries presented in the congress which was attended by 300 participants mainly consultants, residents, physiotherapists, nurses and students of different medical programs. The main topics in the congress were related to High Risk Pregnancy, Minimal Access Surgery; Urogynecology and live demonstrations, Modalities of diagnosis, Mid wifery, Physiotherapy, Oncology and Baby massage.
