Simulation Lab for Midwifery is inaugurated by Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Mr. Upendra Yadav

On 13th of May, 2019 a simulation lab for midwifery was established inside the premise of Dhulikhel Hospital, the first of its kind in Nepal.The lab was constructed with support from German Development Corporation and Laerdal foundation Norway.The official inauguration was done by Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Mr. Upendra Yadav.The lab will be used to provide trainings to midwives in a real-world like simulated environment reducing the use of real patients for education. It will be useful for producing highly trained health professionals and reducing the mortality rates of infants and pregnant women in Nepal where both Infant and Maternal rates are high compared to first world countries.
