Namaste!

I am currently the head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Dhulikhel hospital. As being a tertiary referral center for Orthopedics Trauma and other subspecialties in Orthopedics, in Nepal, we at the department mostly spend the majority of our time managing simple to complex trauma patients. Polytrauma patients, Spine Trauma, and Pelvic-acetabular trauma are some of the examples among many others,

 I am mostly looking after Adult Reconstruction – Hip and Knee Replacement and Sports Medicine that includes mostly Knee and Shoulder Arthroscopies and various pathologies associated with this, like ligaments reconstruction, meniscal lesions, and dislocations.

 As the HoD, I am also involved with executing and coordinating academic activities for under and post-graduate courses, fellowship programs, and various research activities ongoing in the department. Similarly, patient care at the community level, outreach health camps, and community-based rehabilitations are other activities that I look after.

I have twenty-three publications so far in national and international journals. I have also been organizing Advanced Trauma Life Support based Trauma Courses/ Emergency Room Trauma Courses and Primary Trauma Care courses at home and international level in collaboration with various national and international partners.
