Dhulikhel Hospital Conducted Two Days Training On “Diabetes Education for Nurses”

It is essential to update nurses regarding comprehensive lifetime diabetes management program. With this vision, Dhulikhel Hospital-Kathmandu University Hospital (DH-KUH) conducted two days Training on “Diabetes Education for Nurses” from 10th to 11th November 2022 organized by Nursing Department of Internal Medicine in collaboration with Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), Department of Nutrition, Physiotherapy and Community.

With multidisciplinary approach the training was conducted by Dr. Prakash Sapkota (Lecturer, Internal Medicine), Ms. Subina Manandhar (Nursing Lecturer), Dr. Sagar Adhikari (Resident, Internal Medicine), Ms. Sanju Karmacharya (Nutritionist), Ms. Sabina Shrestha (Nursing Incharge), Ms. Sarita Duwal (Staff Nurse), Ms. Sarishma Ranjitkar (Nursing Officer), Ms. Geeta Bhaila (Nursing Incharge) and Ms. Alka and physiotherapy team.

Diabetes training for nurses is a mandatory part to provide competent nursing services to diabetes patients, so this program is targeted to cover all the nurses of Dhulikhel Hospital in a quarterly basis.
