Department of Surgery organized Society of Surgeons of Nepal meet along with CME on interesting cases and procedures in different surgical subspecialties on April 19, 2024.
About one hundred participants including surgeons and surgical residents from different parts of the country visited for the program. Executive director Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha addressed the program and stressed on the need on growth of surgical training using simulator. President of Society of Surgeons of Nepal, Dr. Romeo Kansakar mentioned need of development in various surgical subspecialties. Hospital director Dr. Balaram Malla reiterated how laparoscopic training in Dhulikhel Hospital has evolved over the years and also on need of surgeons doing endoscopic procedures. Dr. Dean Klinger from Medical College of Wisconsin, USA and experts in various surgical subspecialties gave insights to the presentors with valuable comments on the interesting cases.
