call for abstracts

Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) – Dhulikhel, Kavre, Nepal

KUSMS Nursing and Midwifery department is pleased to announce the “Fourth International Nursing and Midwifery Conference” to be held at Dhulikhel, Nepal. You are invited to submit an abstract for consideration as an oral or poster presentation into two categories:

  1. Sharing research results related to the conference theme or innovative health care, or
  2. Sharing knowledge and experience related to the conference theme or innovative health care.

The submission period is from June 15th  2024 to Jan 5th 2025. All submissions should be made online only.

Presentation Preferences:

Abstract submission guideline:

The abstract must be in the form of a Microsoft Word Document with the following specifications:

  • The abstract should be free of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, preferably in British English, typed in Times New Roman, font size 12-point.
  • Use double line spacing throughout.
  • The page margins should be at least 25 mm (1.5 inches) on all sides
  •  Authorship information should carry in sequence information on primary author, corresponding author, and other authors with their position, affiliated institution and highest academic qualification.
  • The abstract should be concise with word limits of 300 words.
  • Please avoid the use of abbreviations and citations in the abstract.

Guidelines for Poster presentation

  • Poster size in portrait 100x 80cm
  • Font Size for Title 42-70
  • Font Size for Author 24-42
  • Affiliated Department 1, Affiliated Department 2 (Size 24-42, A bit smaller than author names)
  • LOGOS may be used as author’s interest and relevance on either side of the title

BACKGROUND (font size 32-40)

  • Brief and concise introduction of the topic, problem statement and rational
  • The colour themes may be changed as per the choice of the authors
  • The body of the sections may be adjusted according to the need.

 

OBJECTIVES (font size 32-40)

  • Use Graphics as much as possible ( Pictures, Pie chart, histograms, line graph, bar etc)
  • Minimal use of texts
  • Figure/ tables ( any two)

Guidelines for Poster presentation

  • All abstract must be submitted online through email to nursingconference@kusms.edu.np
  • Acceptancenotification will be given within a month of abstracts submission
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the nursing conference abstract book and later in KUSMS Nursing Journal if it has not beenpublished yet elsewhere.
