We were honored to host officials from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ, Germany, at Dhulikhel Hospital for an enriching exchange focused on advancing Nepal’s healthcare sector.
Leading the delegation was Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel, CEO of GIZ, joined by Matthias Giegerich, Director General for Asia, Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean (APLAC), and Paulina Campos, Country Representative for GIZ Nepal and Marina Peters. They were accompanied by Dr. Bernd Appelt, Programme Manager including Mr. Tirtha Kumar Sinha, Deputy Programme Manager, and Health Advisors Mr. Sanjaya Singh Thapa, Ms. Sami Pande, Ms. Pratima Rai, and Mr. Dibyadhar Joshi.
Together, we engaged in impactful discussions and toured various facilities pivotal to our healthcare delivery and innovation. Their visit involved an in-depth look at Dhulikhel Hospital’s services like the Nepal Health Insurance System, our robust health informatics, telemedicine and simulation center—showcasing our commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare across Nepal.
