Workshop on Gentle Birth Method 2024

A one-day workshop on “The Gentle Birth Method” was organized on the 5th of May, 2024 at Dhulikhel Hospital. The workshop was organized on the occasion of International Day of the Midwife. Led by a group of young midwives in collaboration with the Nick Simon Institute, the workshop aimed to shed light on this holistic approach to childbirth. Emphasizing relaxation, empowerment, and natural techniques, the method seeks to foster a positive birthing experience.

Fifty-five participants, including registered nurses, residents, midwifery faculty, and interns from Dhulikhel Hospital and KUSMS, as well as representatives from institutions like TU Teaching Hospital, IOM Nursing College, Patan Hospital, Patan Academic Health Sciences, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, and the National Academy of Health Sciences, actively participated in the workshop.
