Free Dental Camp in Karnali region

Spreading smiles in the Himalayas : Improving Dental Health in Nepal’s Karnali Region

The department of Community Dentistry at Dhulikhel hospital has successfully conducted free dental camps at Nepal Rastriya Secondary School, Murma and Mahadev Primary School, Jhyari at Mugu located in the Karnali region of Nepal. The program was supported by FDI World Dental Federation, Nepal Dental Association, Mugu District hospital and Kalikot District Hospital.

The Karnali region is a remote and rugged area located in western Nepal. The region is famous for its mountainous terrain, deep valleys, and rich cultural diversity. However, the Karnali region faces various challenges, including poverty, lack of infrastructure, and limited access to basic services such as healthcare and education.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Rohit Gurung, Kalikot District Hospital and Dr. Sundar Acharya, Mugu District hospital for being part of our team.

Through these initiatives like these, we strive to bring smiles and hope to the resilient communities of Nepal.
