The “Strengthening Institutional Knowledge and Capacity of Federal, Provincial, and Local Governments for Evidence-Informed Health Policymaking in Nepal” project was officially launched with an onsite training at Dhulikhel Hospital and Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS).
Funded by the British Academy and implemented in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield, Bournemouth University, Keele University, University of Sheffield, Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Chester in United Kingdom and Nepal Health Research Council, Ministry of Health and Population, Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences and Green Tara Nepal. This project aimed to strengthen the use of research evidence in health policymaking across all levels of government.
The training brought together policymakers, health professionals, and academic experts to enhance skills in accessing, interpreting, and applying research evidence in health decision-making. This UK-Nepal collaborative learning platform reinforced the importance of linking research, practice, and policy to improve health outcomes across Nepal.
