The Department of surgery has been providing quality health services since the beginning days of the hospital.

Dhulikhel hospital has state of the art facility and is renowned for Laparoscopic surgeries.

Our state of art sub-specialty services includes units like:

• General surgery
• Gastrointestinal  surgery
• Uro surgery
• Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
• Neurosurgery
• Pediatric Surgery

We provide inpatient, outpatient, operative, and emergency services around the clock.

New services added to the list are :

• Vascular Lab in CTVS,
• Intervention in vascular surgical diseases in Catheterization laboratory.
• LASER (Uro surgery)

We provide inpatient, outpatient, operative and emergency services around the clock. The department is national level referral center for all the subspecialties mentioned. The department has pioneered many laparoscopic surgeries. Also the department has started state of the art facility for management of varicose veins that includes radiofrequency ablation. Our separate urosurgery setup can treat urological diseases in day care basis.

Out Patient Services

The department runs outpatient clinics in working days from i.e  from Sunday to Friday.Total number of patients seen in a day is between 150 to 250.
